This week, we wrote about the Falcon House's
recent transformation into the Triple Eight Lounge and how its happy hour delivers on all the right munchy, boozy, homey fronts. You really don't need any more incentive than the promise of fish tacos and spicy five-cheese fondue to want to hop onto a barstool there. But tonight only, if you dine at one of Delray's coolest happy hours, you'll also be donating 10 percent of your bill to the Delray Beach Public Library.
Yep, from 6 to 9 tonight, you can head to the Falcon House and "Dine Out for a Cause." The event, hosted by Mayor Woodie McDuffie, will raise funds and awareness for Delray Beach's library. (And you thought drunks don't read.) To further entice bar crawlers, Falcon House's chef, Jimmy Dean, will whip up a series of special bar bites, like his barbecue spare ribs, smoky pork sliders, and homemade meatballs with ricotta cheese. It'll be a good, old-fashioned happy-hour blast, with a little bit of charity thrown in for good measure. Can't beat that.
Pony up to the bar on your own, or call to reserve a table at 561-243-9499.
