Wine pairings are nice and sophisticated and all, but beer pairings are the hot way to marry food and drink into one delicious night of belly-busting indulgence. The Cuban food and beer pairing event Thursday night at Padrino's Cuban Cuisine in Plantation will offer five courses that match traditional Cuban dishes with Cigar City Brewing quaffs.
Round one pairs beef empanadas with Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale, second course is roast pork with Guava Grove, third course is ropa vieja with Big Sounds Scotch Ale, fourth course is paella washed down with Jai Alai IPA, and the dessert is tres leches with Cuban espresso.
