Tucked away in a little corner of the Polo Club Shoppes shopping plaza, the Crepes & Piccolo Caffe (5030 Champion Blvd., #D3, Boca Raton, 5619977900) features a beautiful, hammered-copper bar and Old World brick walls. But the unstuccolike décor is hardly the only reason to visit the eatery. I have a hard time choosing among the dozens of crepes, which range from shrimp in curry sauce to artichokes in white wine, but I'm always clear on one aspect: dessert. The sweet crepe stuffed with bananas and chocolate syrup and topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream is some pancake. Wash it down with a hazelnut cappuccino, and you've got yourself a proper European experience in Palm Beach County.
