Is it too early to talk about the holidays? Walgreens doesn't think so; pictures of snowmen and snowflakes are already pasted to the windows. Neither does Chef Jean-Pierre of the renowned French restaurant The Left Bank (214 SE Sixth Ave., Fort Lauderdale, 954-763-8861). The exquisitely refined restaurant won't be indulging in portraits of Frosty, but it recently published its holiday menus -- yes, it's open on all the majors. Dishes include such seasonal delights as butternut squash and bourbon bisque (Thanksgiving); roasted duck, spinach, and pancetta risotto (Christmas); and pork tenderloin stuffed with sun-dried plums and mascarpone (New Year's Day). The Left Bank also offers great stocking stuffers: gift certificates for the restaurant and for Jean-Pierre's cooking school, now in its fourth year.
