Blues. Brews. Two words that are as fun to say together as they are to enjoy together. Luckily, you can show up at Whole Foods Coral Springs' Blues & Brews event, running every Friday through January, and do both to your heart's content.
The series is sponsored in part by the South Florida Blues Society and features local musicians Eric Austin & Blues Bobby (January 15), Bottleneck Alley (January 22), and Grant Piper & Pix-E Ensign (January 29). Each session kicks off at 7 p.m. and runs to 9 and features -- get this -- $1.49 beers. We're still waiting to hear what beers exactly will be available, but knowing that Whole Foods Coral Springs has quite the beer selection and a strong history of pumping out great craft beer events, chances are they will be something special. We'll update the post as soon as we get the word.
Update: Whole Foods will definitely offer the usual suspects such as Heineken, Corona, Amstel Light, and Yeungling, but craft beers are not out of the question. The beer list will likely change from week to week, and the series is going to extend far past January. Let's hope some cool craft beers get thrown into the mix.
Oh yeah, there will be wine for folks who don't do the beer thing ($2.99 a glass) and coffee drinks available for those who don't do either. And admission is free. Sounds like a great combo to me.
