No need to be alarmed, but it's quite possible that you are suffering from the June Swoon Syndrome and don't even know it. Does it feel sometimes like a dull lethargy has taken over your body? Tempted to take an afternoon nap on your day off? Feel hot when you walk outdoors in the midday sun? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you've already been stricken. But rather than panic, sample the cure: ice cream. Seriously, try spoon-feeding the cold stuff to your mate as he or she is falling asleep tonight, and then watch how quickly things change (sorbet works too). Here's another bright idea: Take a drive to Breeze's Frozen Custard (9280 W. Commercial Blvd., Sunrise, 954-747-3911) and order any number of soft, freshly made ice creams and all manner of mix-ins (there are 35 of 'em). Not only will a custard smoothie, sundae, or waffle cone of the refreshing vanilla, chocolate, or "flavor of the day" cure your June Swoon but it'll also brace you, in a preventive-medicine sort of way, for the dreaded emotional ailment known as DOJ (Despondency of July).
