New Times Pairings: New Venue Announced for This Year's Event
Get a look at Pairings' new digs.
There are some big changes to announce for the fifth-annual New Times Pairings (aside from the list of participating vendors, which grows each week as the event approaches). The who, what, when, and why of the event remain the same, but to keep things interesting, the where has been switched up.
OK, in all honesty, it's not about keeping things interesting, but rather, a matter of logistics. The foodie gathering's longtime venue -- the Broward Center for Performing Arts -- is in the midst of some renovation and construction on the space won't be complete in time for the September 13 event.
This year, Pairings will be held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center. The crew in charge of organizing the event said it will be held in a multi-tiered mezzanine -- not a ballroom -- to maintain the ambience of previous Pairings.
In other Pairings news, a few new vendors were added this week, including PL8 Kitchen, SAIA, Knucklehead Burgers, and Old Heidelberg Deli. Read more about this year's Pairings, here. Pre-sale tickets are $50 for general admission and $90 for VIP and are available here.
