Around and around we go; today is the start to yet another lovely workweek. Hopefully, you have a bit of a spring in your step from some indulgent weekend activities. If not, don't fret; there are still plenty of events to keep you busy through your working days.

Whether you're looking to sample some wine, watch Monday Night Football under the moon, or watch a Samoan fire show, there's something to do in Broward and Palm Beach counties this week.

Monday

Candy Cane Parade on the Hollywood Boardwalk

Ring in the holiday season with an evening parade on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk featuring marching bands, floats, community groups, food and drink specials, and more. This year's theme is all about the candy canes with a "Peppermint Paradise." The parade begins at 7 p.m. Visit the city website.

Wine Dinner at La Stella's

Join La Stella's in Boca Raton for an Italian wine and food pairing dinner. Starting at 6:30 p.m., guests will be welcomed with a prosecco toast and passed appetizers, followed by a three-course sit-down pairing dinner at 7 p.m. Enjoy a celery, fennel, and apple salad with pecorino cheese and walnuts; choice of smoked wild salmon or homemade flatbread with arugula and lemon-caper aioli; handmade ricotta gnocchi; and skirt steak risotto. Tuesday

Running For Brews

If you don't like running for your health, will you at least run for beer? The opening night of Running for Brews takes off this Tuesday, December 2, so you can get out and break a sweat amongst the company of other fellow runners (and beer lovers). End it all with an awesome craft brew night at TAPS Restaurant Bar & Lounge every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. and then proceed to run a beautiful 5k route followed by some ice-cold brews. 52nd Annual Christmas on Las Olas

This Tuesday celebrate the holiday season as Premier Beverage presents the 52nd Annual Christmas on Las Olas with its winter wonderland street party from 5 to 10 p.m. on East Las Olas Boulevard from Southeast Sixth Avenue to Southeast 11th Avenue. Over 40,000 people will gather on Las Olas Boulevard to celebrate the unofficial start to the winter season. Local choirs from schools and churches fill the air with the sounds of the holidays from three stages while strolling carolers will spread the cheer as you roam the street. The evening will feature food and drink specials from over 60 food, beverage, and holiday booths. Bar specials include participating restaurants Big City Tavern, Johnny V Las Olas, American Social, Riverside Hotel, Tuscan Grill, Luigi's Coal Oven, Mangos, Royal Pig Pub, and more. Thursday

Wine Tasting With Winemaker Jean Smit

This Thursday, December 4, Whole Foods Fort Lauderdale will be hosting a special wine tasting with winemaker Jean Smit. Smit has been producing wine at Boekenhouatskloof vineyards since 2008. He shares in the passion of growing all the vineyards organically and has earned the winery several accolades. This Thursday, from 12 to 3 p.m., you'll have the opportunity to meet this talented South African winemaker, and taste wines from his renowned portfolio. He'll also be signing bottles.

Chill For The Cure Fundraiser

Raise a glass of wine for a good cause this week. From 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, Chill Wine Lounge in Fort Lauderdale will be hosting a special fundraising event. Chill For The Cure will benefit the Cystric Fibrosis Foundation, featuring Nick's Dream Wines. Entry is $15 per person (as a donation) and includes a complimentary glass of Nick's Dream Wine, light appetizers, and a raffle ticket for various prizes. At 5:30 p.m. the founders of Nick's Dream Wine will be on hand to give a short presentation on cystic fibrosis. Can't make it on Thursday? Don't worry: you can still make your donation and sample Nick's Dream Wines for $5 a glass during happy hour in the month of December.

Pig & Pint Thursday at Beauty & The Feast

On Thursday, December 4, Beauty & the Feast will be firing up the cooker and tapping the kegs for its Pig & Pint Thursdays. The food and drink event takes place from 7:30-11:30 p.m.. and will feature $5 craft beer pints and $15 all-you-can-eat, slow-roasted pulled pork pig roast. Located inside the Atlantic Hotel & Spa, Beauty and The Feast offers an eclectic menu with a killer view of the Atlantic Ocean. Call 954-567-8070.
