10. Deck 84

For an outdoorsy, kid-friendly brunch try Deck 84 in Delray Beach. The ranging, covered patio provides the perfect Sunday morning spot for a late breakfast or early lunch. The menu offers inventive dishes -- classic dishes with a signature Deck 84 spin, like the 24-Hour French Toast made with brioche bread and wild berries. Or try their breakfast burrito made with organic scrambled eggs, caramelized onions, roasted poblano peppers, cheddar-jack cheese and topped with a fresh enchilada sauce, sour cream, guacamole and pico de gallo. Something we've never seen before: the smoked salmon scramble made with Nova smoked salmon, goat cheese and chives. Of course, no brunch menu would be complete without a list of cocktails. There's the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, available from noon to 3 p.m., where guests choose from more than 20 ingredients to personalize their unique cocktail, including four types of tomato juice and garnishes like celery sticks, stuffed olives, peppers, various spices, and 12 different kinds of hot sauce.

5. The Terrace Restaurant at The Omphoy

Forget the Breakers -- or any other pricey Palm Beach island resort, for that matter. The real steal when it comes to a Palm Beach-style brunch is at this boutique hotel, the Omphoy Ocean Resort. Located directly on the beach, which means you can enjoy a reasonably-priced brunch with an oceanfront view just steps from your table. From noon and 3 p.m. the resort's Terrace Restaurant offers live jazz music alongside a menu with a focus on fresh, unique seafood dishes, including our favorite, a salmon tartar served with crème frâiche and bagel chips.

4. John G's

You know the food is good when it's guaranteed there will be a line out the door, and around the corner for a seat on the weekends. That's how it will be at John G's in Lake Worth this weekend. A locals' type spot that's been known for generations, John G's serves up one heck of a brunch (breakfast served until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday). The plate to steal the show at your table: thick-sliced french toast, served multiple ways. We love the original cinnamon nut -- three slabs of moist toast coated with a layer of cinnamon-sugar and slivered almonds -- or the raisin cream cheese drenched in warm, house made raisin syrup. Just don't forget your cash (it's all they take).

OK, so Kapow! always seems to have the best of everything (wings, chef, happy hour) and we're going to go ahead and admit their Sunday brunch is no different. For those Sunday mornings when you're looking to keep the good times going -- perhaps you never made it home Saturday night?! -- Kapow! Noodle Bar offers the perfect party spot. Last month they began their very own Beats, Booze & Brunch. The lounge-like outdoor courtyard between Kapow! and Dubliner at Mizner Park acts as a chill space to hang out, listen to some fresh tunes by DJ Misha Samson, and drink the $15 "never ending" mimosa and Tito's vodka Bloody Mary bar. And how about the food? You have one of the 2013 Top 10 Chefs in South Florida, Caleb Holman, cooking your breakfast.
