Green beer, hot sake, and fine wines all will be flowing this week in South Florida, with everything from St. Patrick's Day parties, to the Hatsume Fair 2012, to a wine tasting in Fort Lauderdale on the agenda. There also are a few events catering to the healthy/ethical/meatfree/bunny-hugging sector. Read on after the jump to find a few food and drink events this week and weekend in Broward and Palm Beach.

The festival is 11 .m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Tickets at the door are $12 for adults and $6 for kids.

Cookout at Whole Foods Market in Boca Raton -- Visit the Whole Foods Market patio from noon to 3 p.m. and drop $5 in the donation jar and get a burger, hot dog, or "vegetarian option." Money raised benefits the Whole Planet Foundation, which gives micro-loans to people in developing countries.
Great American Meatout and Adopt-a-Thon -- The Great American Meatout is actually March 20, but the Animal Rescue Force Adoption Center (ARFAC) will celebrate a few days early with a pet adoption event and by offering tastings of meat-free cuisine.
