Last week we shared a rumor that had South Florida salivating over the thought of buying tomato-free corn salsa, frozen kale, and cheap wine from salespeople clad in tiki shirts.

We're referring, of course, to yet another rumor that Trader Joe's was looking to open a shop in Palm Beach county -- specifically at PGA Plaza in Palm Beach Gardens.

We spoke with Allison Mochizuki, director of national publicity for

Trader Joe's in Monrovia, California, who said, "Palm Beach, Florida is

not in our two year plan."

Sadly, that means that Palm Beach

county will have to wait at least two years for a Trader Joe's to open

in our neighborhood. On the bright side...that means that we won't be

living in Trader Joe's, Florida for at least another two years.

In the meantime, the newest Trader Joe's in Florida is

opening on September 7 in Sarasota (4101 S. Tamiami Trail).  Road trip,

anyone? We'll bring the extra large cooler.
