We don't often hucklebuck out to Margate, but it sounds like good times at Trattoria Bella Cibo. Tomorrow night, Chef D'Lish, AKA Tommy Valdes, is being challenged to a "Caesar Salad Throwdown" by a regular patron named Howard Serkin. The officiator is boxing champ Jose Morales, and Coral Springs "commissioner" Vince Boccard (though, uh, Governor Crist may have a problem with him using that title) serves as one of three judges. Toga attire is encouraged!
Their promos-gone-wild continue...
...with a special offer for readers of New Times' food newsletter, Café Bites. For subscribers, Trattoria
Bella Cibo in Margate is offering a Hump-Night Date Night four-course dinner for
two, with a bottle of wine, for $35 (plus tax and tip) on May 26. It's to
preview their Hump-Night Date Nights every Wednesday in June. Choose between two appetizers, three entrees, and
two desserts. The salad is thrown in.
You must tell them you're a Café Bites reader
