Members of the Westboro Baptist Church from Topeka, Kansas, were scheduled to protest at the funeral for 24-year-old Army Spc. Jordan C. Schumann in Fort Pierce on July 22. Hundreds gathered to show support, including family, friends, numerous members of the community and police force, even the Guardian Angels. But the Westboro Baptist Church wackos never showed up.
