Tower of Power funked it up at Fort Lauderdale's Parker Playhouse on Friday, April 13. The Oakland group celebrated nearly 45 years of making music and played for almost two hours. Audience members, comprised of three generations of Tower of Power fans, were on their feet and groovin' to the beat by the third song. Tower played some of their funkiest tunes, including a James Brown medley. And, yes, they asked the eternal question.. "What is Hip?" West Palm Beach rockers The Jeff Harding Band opened the show.
