Casey Anthony is getting tons of angry Facebook messages and phone calls after the famous acquittal on charges of killing 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.
The problem there is that people are harassing a different Casey Anthony — a 43-year-old black dude who lives in Darby, Pennsylvania.
According to NBC Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Casey Anthony has gotten hundreds of messages, wall posts, and friend requests on Facebook — as well as plenty of phone calls — because people apparently think he’s Florida’s 25-year-old female Casey Anthony.
Even better, other-Anthony also has two sons — both named Casey Anthony.
“It went from being comical and scary to just being outright, make you mad as — you know,” Anthony told NBC Philadelphia. “‘Cause these people don’t even know you; they don’t have a clue.”
It didn’t help that other-Anthony had his phone number listed on his Facebook, leading to a ton of calls from Florida area codes.
“[They were] making comments about the verdict; who am I to take a
child’s life, “Anthony told the news station. “And then I’m sitting back like, excuse me?
I’m not the Casey Anthony you think.”
Judging from other-Anthony’s Facebook page, which can be found here, he doesn’t much resemble Florida’s Casey Anthony and clearly states he’s from Pennsylvania — but that doesn’t seem to be affecting his luck.
Other-Anthony says he’s stopped answering phone calls from Florida area codes.
