I don’t know. I just don’t know anymore. A reliable source told me last night that it was a done deal that Broward County Mayor Stacy Ritter — who is embroiled in a major political scandal with her lobbyist husband, Russell Klenet, and last week was menaced with a gun by her own father — is running for the congressional seat being vacated by Robert Wexler.
Lending credence to the idea is this quote she gave the Sun-Sentinel about the idea of running for Congress: “Absolutely. We represent much of the same area in Broward County. It’s definitely something I would sit down and talk to my closest advisers about.”
Here’s the scary part: With the willfully clueless geriatric condo voters in her district, she just might win.
Note to feds: Stop her. Now.
