Jameis Winston, FSU’s star quarterback, will not be charged for sexual assault, according to ESPN.

The report says that State Attorney Willie Meggs is expected to read a statement saying that the decision is final.

The source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, informed Cameron “the decision is final” and that Meggs will read a statement severing any connection between Winston and the investigation. Cameron describes his source as a “public relations professional… asked to advise on the written statement” and that the source has “done so for weeks now.”

Last month, authorities revealed that DNA that matches FSU star quarterback and Heisman hopeful had been found in a sample taken from the underwear of the Tallahassee woman who had accused him of sexual assault.

A press conference is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Tallahassee.

Update: State Attorney Meggs has made it official, announcing at a press conference that Winston will not be charged.
