This Broward County institution has been dispensing burgers to the South Florida locals and visitors alike for nearly 37 years. At one point, those burgers were voted the best in America.
With a view of the Intracoastal, the 13-ounce burgers are made fresh, with the restaurant going through 100 pounds of meat each day. Guests may have an array of choices with a full bar but have only the option of paying cash. According to owners, credit cards “cost too much money.”
For some patrons, service around this toilet-infested establishment is down-right rude, but employees state it’s part of the ambiance. True fans of the restaurant enjoy the charm.
