Good things come in 12s: like the 12 days of Christmas, the 12 Olympian gods/goddesses of Greek mythology, doughnuts, and ArtServe’s “Twelve by Twelve — The Collective” exhibit. Fitting into 12-by-12-inch frames, all artwork is made by local artists and will be priced at $200 and be available for purchase. This exhibit opened March 6 (ArtServe’s Facebook page already sports some sold notifications for some artwork), but the opening reception is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at ArtServe (1350 E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). Last year’s exhibit collected as many as 300 small pieces in a 224-square-foot space. For music, the band London Boys will perform, and this event is not only sponsored by artscalendar.com and Whole Foods but Whole Foods will provide complimentary food, wine, beer, and soda; donations are suggested. The exhibit runs until March 20; no cover. Call 954-462-8190, or visit artserve.org.

Fri., March 12, 6 p.m., 2010
