Put down the dreidels and schlep over to the Seminole Hard Rock Improv tonight for A Merry Merry Midnight Nuthouse starring locals Yamil Piedra and Johnny Trabanco (a.k.a. A Pair of Nuts). Piedra describes the comedy show as “old school, cheesy holiday TV special meets insane asylum,” probably because the duo will have a variety-show quality, showcasing video sketches along with dancers and live animals.
Also expect lots of audience participation and contests. If you elect to become part of the madness by entering the “America’s Got Nuts talent competition” for the $100 prize, expect to face reigning champ Konstantine Afthinos, a balloon swallower. Or enter another contest: just don the worst Christmas sweater and possibly win $50 off your tab.
