Two words: Monster Pussy. What image does that conjure up in your skull? We’re willing to bet it’s not a delectably hip orange cat donning a purple T-shirt, like the one in Helena Garcia‘s painting Monster Pussy. And hell, if it is, you wre born to attend the Wee Beasties art exhibit at toy store-cum-gallery Pinkghost. There’ll be a lot of work on display by Garcia, who gains inspiration from retro and pop aesthetics and furry friends, and who will also be present at the show. In addition, it also happens to be Pinkghost’s Third Anniversary, so to add to the festivities, there will be a DJ set by Brian Hunker and bands Radioboxer and Boxwood will perform.. If you love brownies and dig free admission, if raffles add a little excitement to your life, and if gift bags get you downright giddy, do not pass go, do not collect 100 dollars. Close the Monolopy board and hurry up — because only the first 20 folks receive gift bags. The anniversary party starts at 7 p.m. at Pinkghost (1888 Polk St., Hollywood). Visit pinkghost.net.

Sat., Dec. 12, 7 p.m., 2009
