One might think in today’s less structured and morally rigid society, dating would have gotten easier. One would be wrong. Sure, the old constructs of traditional courtship were stifling and restrictive, but without the letterman sweaters, fraternity pins, and promise rings, we don’t know who is doing what to whom. Ugh. But at the Sexy Party at Downtown 28, it will be easy to tell the ducks from the decoys — as long as you’re not colorblind. Anyone in pink or red is taken, but anyone in white is “single and ready to mingle.” Simple, straightforward, and, if you impulsively decide to run off for a quickie marriage, you’re totally wearing the right color. But first dance: Several DJs will be there, spinning hardcore, dubstep, dirty Dutch house, and psychedelic progressive trance. If you just came to window-shop what’s on display, no worries: There will be a lingerie contest as well as other games and prizes. The party is from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. at Downtown 28 (1828 Harrison St., Hollywood). Admission is $10 for the 18-to-20 crowd and free for those 21 and over.
