If popular sentiment is correct – that Americans are all fat, indolent slobs — then how do you explain the continued success of the Komen Race for the Cure? The cause-oriented cardio event, whose proceeds go to finding cancer cures, has been taking place locally for 15 years now, and dedicated racers haven’t slowed their pace one bit. That’s not to say it’s only for runners; walkers are just as welcome. And for that matter, so are their little one (Kids for the Cure) and really little ones (Tots for the Cure).
