Does beer make you smarter? Of Coors it does. It made Bud wiser! It also makes you look Yuengling-er. So hurry down to the New Times Beerfest, the most beer-tastic, beer-licious event ever. It starts at beer-thirty (7 p.m.), but if you get there Pabst that, don’t worry, as it goes on until beer o’clock (11 p.m.) and features all the beer you can drink for just $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. More than 100 beers from around the world will be on tap, as will foods from 25 South Florida restaurants (The eats are free with your ticket, too). Mind-numbingly brilliant bands the Heavy Pets, the Bittercups, the Freakin’ Hott, and Brendan O’Hara and the Humble Ones will provide ale the music. So, hops on down to Esplanade Park (SW Fourth Avenue and SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale, across from the Museum of Discovery and Science), and then, to the afterparty at Revolution (200 W.
