It’s only February and 2013 already has been a big year for the indie rock band fun. In addition to having music featured on HBO’s Girls — lead singer Jack Antonoff is dating the creator and star Lena Dunham — the band took home two Grammy Awards for best new artist and song of the year.
And things won’t be slowing down anytime soon as they’ve just announced a new North American tour with support from Tegan and Sara. The tour kicks off on July 6 and will make a stop in South Florida, at Mizner Park Amphitheater, on September 18.
A percentage of the ticket sales from this tour will be directed toward the Ally Coalition, the partnership created by designer Rachel Antonoff and the members of fun. It will be devoted to “encouraging and inspiring the music, fashion, and entertainment communities to take action in support of LGBQT equality.”
Tickets will go on sale Friday, February 15; however, there is presale availability with the use of the special code “somenights.”
