“My baby calls me the Loch Ness Monster/Two great big humps, and then I’m gone/Actually I’m the Abominable Snowman/And I guess that I loved you for too long.” This could only be from the demented mind of Nick Cave, whose Grinderman 2 album is already fixing to be one of County Grind’s favorites of the year. It has deliciously filthy lyrics, a wolf infiltrating the bathroom on the cover, and Cave and company at their virulent best.

Unsurprisingly, attaching A Place to Bury Strangers frontman Oliver Ackermann’s sensibilities to “Worm Tamer” turns a dark, vox-heavy background into some squall-driven “-gaze” of your choosing. Spookier? Probably not. Listen below.
