It doesn’t take long for Broken Social Scene’s “Texico Bitches” video to get kind of icky. Not sure if there’s a Canadian tradition that involves hillside grappling matches in black, gooey petroleum ejaculations, but this clip manages to deal a piledriver upon big oil (and pro wrestling). Then again, hearing this glib track from Forgiveness Rock Record playing while all this silly, deviant flopping is going on is admittedly fun.
It’s a decent excuse to get excited for BSS’ return to South Florida, which is officially set for
February 12 at Revolution, and proof is on the band’s official site. The video is below.
