The typical food truck rally, with its throngs of hungry patrons and platefuls of sloppy tacos and shredded pork, probably doesn’t rank too high on the list of mood-setting date destinations. While Sunday’s Gourmet Truck Expo event at Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach isn’t exactly a candle-lit corner table at Café Boulud, neither is it entirely without charm, what with the 14-acre “urban oasis” serving as the backdrop.
A handful of GTE trucks will be in attendance, including Slow Food Truck and Sugar Yummy Mama, and beer and wine will be available for purchase. The event is noon to 7 p.m., and there is a $5 suggested donation for entry, plus the cost of food and drink.
