Damiano, a southern Italian bistro by the owners of Frank & Dino’s in Deerfield Beach, is scheduled to open October 2 in the former Assaggio Del Forno space at Regency Court in Boca Raton.
Assaggio Del Forno closed about three weeks ago.
According to Boca Magazine,
partners Dennis Max and Frank Stampone have been bought out by John
Williams, who will be spearheading Damiano with new partners, a new
chef, and a new take on Italian cuisine.
We spoke with Damiano
partner Carlo Vaccarezza, who told us that the restaurant will focus on
southern Italian fare at a good price point, with dishes under $30.
Peter
Masiello, formerly of Il Bacio and Prime, has been tapped to head the
open kitchen, which will prominently feature a wood burning oven turning
out thin crust pizzas, fresh fish, chicken, and appetizers. The
restaurant will offer a full bar and extended wine list.
Damiano is scheduled to open on October 2.
