Every You isn’t just taking this fundraising thing sitting down |
For the uninitiated, Kickstarter.com is one of the smartest ideas for a website since Al Gore invented the Internet. Its goal would probably appeal to our former Vice President: helping creative people get their projects off the ground with equally creative donation solicitation.
In the case of Fort Lauderdale pop-punk quartet Every You, the goal is to raise $4,000 for filming a music video for single “A Change of Scene” in North Carolina, and some ducats to get the guys back into the studio.
There is a widget for the project, and details about how to be in Every
You’s music video and get some band-related swag after the jump.
Of course, the donations do yield rewards beyond just doing a nice thing
for a nice bunch of local fellas, and some unknown fatcat is matching
every buck provided. Everyone who pledges $10 or more will receive a
personal letter from Every You, and as you give more, you get more of
that sweet exclusive stuff from the band (an acoustic EP! a bracelet!).
Hey! We are Every You, and we’ve come here to ask for your help in
funding our first music video for our single, “A Change Of Scene,” as
well as trying to raise some money to help us fund our next visit to the
studio. Every dollar donated to us will be matched, and we feel these
projects together will cost about $4000. We are going to be shooting the
video in North Carolina with some great friends at University of North
Carolina School of the Arts, and recording a few new songs with Tom
Denney (ex-A Day To Remember) in June. For every dollar donated, we will
be sure to send you some goodies, as well! With your help, we will be
able to stay on the road, have a kickass video, and release some new
songs for you guys by the end of this summer! If you would like to be in the video, please e-mail us at
everyyouband[at]gmail.com! It will be shot in North Carolina!

Meanwhile, Every You will perform at the Talent Farm in Pembroke Pines on Friday, April 30. More details on that show soon!
