A Broward woman says that an Oakland Park man — whose last name is
actually Teebagy — and the city have to pay up, because a street-side
tree permanently maimed her in 2009, according to a recently filed
lawsuit.

Kathleen Adelle Nickerson, “a single woman,” says that

Russel Teebagy and Oakland Park should have taken better care of a tree on Northeast 16th Avenue.

Because they didn’t, Nickerson says, a branch fell on her car while she was driving underneath, nearly killing her court records indicate.

Teebagy owns the property where the tree is located, on the 2600 block of the avenue. Nickerson and her lawyer cliam, however, that Oakland Park could have done more to prevent the near fatal accident.
