Harry’s Banana Farm has been dispensing billboard wisdom for years, commenting on everything from Toyota’s safety scandals to corruption among Palm Beach County commissioners. The Lake Worth bar is famous for its pithy commentary — that, and the Penthouse designation as one of the sleaziest bars in America.
But this week’s message, displayed prominently on North Dixie Highway, gave me pause because (a) it’s probably accurate, and (b) on a slow holiday news week, it felt particularly humbling.
By the way, the other side of the sign features Harry’s signature political analysis. “This year’s special: BP Blackened Shrimp.”
