Now that the Super Bowl has come and gone, why not spend this Sunday with man’s best friend at the ninth-annual Dog Bowl? Presented by Boxer Friends Inc., a nonprofit organization that rescues boxers from shelters in South Florida and helps place them in loving homes, the Dog Bowl welcomes all breeds and masters. It’s a fun-filled, family-friendly day chock-full of vendors, food, adoptable dogs, games, and prizes. Yes, there will be plenty of games and contests for Fido to participate in — like bobbing for hot dogs, a dog/owner look-alike contest, and a costume contest for the best-dressed dog. Attendees can come home with a new furry friend, as dogs available for adoption will be greeting festivalgoers at the Good Karma booth.
All the canine cornucopia happens Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at T.Y. Park, located at 3300 N. Park Road in Hollywood. Admission is free with paid park entry. Visit boxerfriends.org, or call 866-715-9743.
