Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Evita is headed to the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in a run of the Tony-Award winning play that includes a 20-person ensemble and 12-member youth choir. The story follows actress Eva Peron, a staunch feminist and philanthropist who rose to power as the wife of Argentinian presidente Juan Peron. This version at the Matlz is a “rock opera,” which means you might expect a slightly edgier version of the musical than the eponymous 1996 film starring Madonna.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: March 17. Continues through April 5, 2009
