For this Thanksgiving season, drop the same ole tradition of stuffing your belly and boozing up till you black out. That’s such a tired and lame way to cap off the holiday. Instead, head to Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on Thursday night for a mind-bending performance by the Peking Acrobats. Hailing from China, this troupe of tumblers, contortionists, jugglers, cyclists, and gymnasts tears up the stage with gravity-defying moves. They were featured in the blockbuster hit flick Ocean’s 11 and have entertained audiences for 25 years. All the dexterous action — somersaults! human chairs! — seen onstage might make turkey revelers think twice about gluttonous affairs. The Peking Acrobats boast that their performance skills come from a 2,000-year Chinese tradition, so you know you’re in for a treat when they take the stage.
See the action unfold at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Pavilion at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, 5550 NW 40th St., Coconut Creek. Tickets cost $40 to $60. Visit seminolecasinococonutcreek.com.

Thu., Nov. 28, 8 p.m., 2013
