Gulfstream Park’s Championship Meet kicks off Saturday with the $1 million Claiming Crown and free Gulfstream racing calendars.
The full color wall calendar, which features top horses from the 2013-2014 Championship Meet, will be the first opportunity for fans to receive items through March 29.
Gulfstream’s Championship Meet, featuring 67 stakes races for a record $11.25 million in purses, begins Saturday. First race post is 12:35 p.m. General admission and parking are always free. Silks will open at 11 a.m. The day will kick off with Breakfast at Gulfstream, from 7 to 10 a.m. in the north tiki area. Tram rides will be available through the barn area beginning at 8:15 a.m.
Opening Day will also feature the first Gift With Purchase opportunity. Fans buying a Gulfstream Handicapper or Daily Racing Form will also be able to receive a glowing holiday ornament between noon and 3 p.m. at Stretch’s BBQ & Tiki Bar in the north tiki area.
