Is it a sign of progress when the gays break out of they city and spread to the suburbs? Or is it a sign of the apocalypse? This depends on your point of view, of course, although it’s generally a favorable sign when the gays in question include the lovely and talented Daisy DeadPetals, star of “The Simple Life” at South Beach’s Buck15 and “Life’s a Drag” at Fort Lauderdale’s Voodoo Lounge. Daisy D and her crew — yes, let’s stick with calling him “her” for now — have moved into Delux Niteclub and Lounge (16 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach) on Wednesday nights, for their new party “Paparazzi.” The night is an homage to all of the trashy, jail-oriented celebutantes flashing our tabloids these days. Because to a drag queen like Daisy DeadPetals, getting arrested for habitual public intoxication and having your mug shot splashed on the front page is really just a job well-done. Let’s hope these Wednesday parties are just as scandalous, but without the cops.
