In the world of superheroes, the Caped Taco’s accomplishments have been forgotten. Sure, he successfully legislated for equality between the two, warring salsa factions: red and verde. He even lowered teenaged promiscuity statistics with his PSA campaign: “Keep Your Taco Closed” — but nobody remembers those things. Not since what happened last week.
The Caped Taco was strapped to a giant wheel of government cheese and rolled in front of city hall, where he was left in the dairy-based gallows for all to mock. There was a note, of course, signed by his nemesis: “Shred this, Taco Boy. XO — The Evil Enchilada.” Grudges of this nature have historically been settled in only one way: on the dance floor, with glow sticks.
Encounters such as these are conceivable at 9 p.m. Saturday at Electrolust’s major-rager Superheroes Vs. Villains at Club X-it (219 N. 21 Ave., Hollywood). Dress up as a known masked entity like the Joker, Catwoman, or Wolverine. Or flaunt your costume skills and create your own unsung hero like the Caped Taco.
