Broadway Bound is considered one of Neil Simon’s greatest plays. It’s his semi-autobiographical account of two brothers struggling to become comedy writers; and their parents, whose marital troubles become fodder for the brothers’ radio skits. The father is cheating on his wife with a dying woman. The mother is helplessly and irretrievably in love with him. As the family cracks apart, a good-natured socialist grandpa mitigates the pain. Willow Theatre (Sugar Sand Park, 300 S. Military Trail, Boca Raton) is staging Broadway Bound with an experienced cast. It runs Friday, January 7 to January 16, on Wednesdays to Saturdays at 8 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $18. For more info, call 561-347-3948, or visit willowtheatre.org.

Wednesdays-Sundays. Starts: Jan. 7. Continues through Jan. 16, 2011
