In the early stages of a band, when the important things like song structure and matching guitar straps are established, the band’s moniker remains the most painstaking piece to cinch up. But sometimes it just sticks, like Angry Pudding. Bassist CK explains, “I was messaging online with a pal and my daughter was throwing a fit about making dessert, so I told them I had to leave to make pudding…angry pudding.” The name fits. You may be expecting sweetness from these four punk femmes, but it’s guaranteed the result will be laced with deviltry. AP plays its first show at Area 7 Music and Ale (3809 N. Powerline Road, Oakland Park) tonight. The Dirty Boxes, Stay Hitt, The Ridicules, and The 1% will join them. Doors are at 9 p.m., with a $5 cover for 21-and-up or $10 for kiddies. Call 954-561-9134, or visit www.myspace.com/area7musicandale.
