Ever watch those old musicals in which glamorous actors spontaneously break into song and dance under the stars? Ever fantasize about doing it yourself? It’s OK — we’ve all had our moments. How do you think flash mobs came about? If you’re not the flash-mob or choreographed-dance type but want to get your dance on outside the club, head to the Hollywood Beach Theater this Wednesday for Music and Dancing Under the Stars. This week, Modern Music will churn out Top 40 hits while attendees break it down right next to the beach. Think of it as the modern-day pop version of your musical fantasy — minus your debatable vocals.
Music and Dancing Under the Stars takes place every Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m., weather permitting. Simply show up — there’s no cost to attend. The theater is located at 100 Johnson St. on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Call 954-921-3403, or visit hollywoodfl.org/calendar.

Wednesdays, 7:30-9 p.m. Starts: Dec. 26. Continues through Dec. 18, 2012
