A Thanksgiving Prayer:

As we prepare to demonstrate gratitude on Thanksgiving Day, let us give thanks for life’s most precious entities. Dear (*insert deity of choice here*), thank you for large charitable block parties featuring live music from Audio Heist, Cypress, and DJ Russ. Let us express gladness for refreshing adult libations, especially those free of charge from 6 to 9 p.m. Allow us appreciation for delicious noshings prepared by chefs from local beach restaurants. Permit us displays of pleasure for raffles and giveaways with chances to win prizes from hotels, golf courses, spas, restaurants, concert venues, and more. Please forgive us our trespasses as we are granted a day of rest from employment after a long celebratory evening with all proceeds benefitting Covenant House of Florida. Most of all, thank you for the 17th Annual Cranberry Jam which is from 6 p.m. to midnight Wednesday at the World Famous Parrot Lounge (911 Sunrise Lane, Fort Lauderdale). Amen.

Tickets cost Young Professional members $15, new members/renew $30 (this includes one year YP membership & event entry), guests $20 prepay, and $25 at the event. Get more information, online at youngpros.net, or by calling 954-568-7916.
