This Saturday, join “Dragapella” divas the Kinsey Sicks at the Broward Center’s Amaturo Theater for America’s Next Top Bachelor Housewife Celebrity Hoarder Makeover Star Gone Wild!
The quartet — Trixie, Winnie, Rachel, and Trampolina — skewers current events in a sugary a cappella with songs like “Touch-a Touch Me, TSA Security” (a parody of the Rocky Horror classic) and “They’ve Got the Whole World in Their Hands” (a song for the NSA). The gals’ current production is based on their experiences as contestants on season three of America’s Got Talent. Despite standing ovations from the audience and judges, they never made it on TV.
Founded in 1993, the Kinsey Sicks bill themselves as “America’s Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet,” donning bouffants and dresses a ’50s-era housewife would envy. But their language? Not so much. You’ll get only one night to see and hear for yourself, with shows scheduled for 6 and 9 p.m. Tickets cost $37.50 plus fees. Call 954-462-0222, or visit browardcenter.org.
