Art that Sustains You

Local art bazaars and outdoor market-style festivals are always a good time, but every once in a while, you need a real cultural turbo boost. And while your friend selling spray-painted vinyl for $10 at your Saturday-night hangout seems artsy enough, it might just be the perfect time to step up your visual game. The Gallery at the Art House has just the fix you need with “Sustain Sustain,” its new exhibit featuring the work of 20 artists all using different materials and riffing on the theme of what it takes to endure and continue to move forward. Best of all? It’s free. So save the vinyl to actually listen to, and get some real art in your face. “Sustain” continues through Thursday, May 23, at the Gallery at Art House (255 NE Sixth Ave. in Delray Beach). Entry is free and open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment. Call 561-859-0856, or visit arthousedelray.com.
Mondays-Thursdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: April 29. Continues through May 23, 2013
