Back-to-School Shopping

Perhaps one of our fondest memories as children was our yearly shopping spree for school supplies. Knowing what an overwhelming sense of joy it is to prepare for the new school year, Covenant House Florida is asking the community to help its youth get ready to go back to school through a local fundraiser at the S3 Restaurant: Sun, Surf, and Sand. Suggested donation items include all of the essentials such as backpacks, lunch boxes, pens, spiral notebooks, markers, crayons, colored pencils, three-ring binders, loose-leaf paper, USB flash drives, highlighters, composition notebooks, MP3 players, and Walmart/Target gift cards, among others. Join members of Covenant House Florida on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at S3, which is located at 505 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. For a comprehensive list of acceptable donation items, visit Admission prices are. Donors who bring at least $10 worth of school supplies are eligible for free entry.
