Local music spot and cafe the Beat Cup offers up a night of art and music featuring all local talent. Artists on display will be Lauren Shapiro, Uzma Shareef, Alex Markow, Alan Stewart, and Sara Henick. Auditory entertainment to be provided by Alex Markow and Mark Kincaid with an additional performance by Jonny Monsoon. There will be two for one drafts until 10 p.m. and Barbarica will be selling t-shirts. The entire evening runs from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Visit their Facebook page for more details.

After a brief stint bumming around London's East End (for no conceivable reason, according to her poor mother), she returned to real life and South Florida to start at New Times as the editorial assistant in 2009. A native Floridian, Rebecca avoids the sun and beach at all costs and can most often be found in a well-air-conditioned space with the glow of a laptop on her face.
