We know you’re excited about the 80th Annual Academy Awards Show, but please don’t do what you did last year: that is, put an evening gown on the dog, spread a red bed sheet across the floor, and then interview the poor mutt as he drags his butt across it, staring at you with contempt. Yep, you’re much better off going out to watch the Oscars instead of trying to recreate the experience at home, so why not head down to the Oscar Watch Party at Bogart’s in Muvico Palace 20 (3200 Airport Rd., Boca Raton)? There, you’ll be able to get gussied up in your finest Oscar dress (cocktail attire is fine, too) and sashay across a real red carpet, all while hobnobbing with the fine folks from the Palm Beach International Film Festival (they’re throwing the party, after all). The entire restaurant will be peppered with TVs tuned to the big show, plus there’ll be drinks and hors d’oeuvres, an “Oscar styles” fashion show by Bloomingdale’s, and a silent auction featuring goods like studio jackets and a bottle of wine signed by Oscar host, Jon Stewart. It’s $25 to get in (that includes one drink), but R.S.V.P. in advance by calling 561-362-0003.
