Rosa Byrne makes for a seductive embalmer. In Just Buried, the Australian actress explains how to prepare a cadaver in the husky whisper of Marilyn Monroe: "Suck out all the fluids; And then you inject cavity fluid into the torso."
Just Buried is a Canadian comedy about a young nerd, Oliver, who inherits a funeral home from his father and discovers that it's about to run out of money. Rather than apply for a TARP loan, Oliver and his embalmer assistant go on a murder spree and profit on the cadavers. Oh, and the two become romantically involved. This is a sicker version of Six Feet Under, with more sex, more death, and more plastic bags full of internal organs and dripping-wet intestines. It puts the "fun" in funeral. Just Buried shows tonight, 10 p.m., at the Lake Worth Playhouse (713 Lake Ave., Lake Worth). Tickets cost $8. For more info, call 561-586-6410, or visit www.lakeworthplayhouse.org.
