You’re at a live show, and the music is bumping. You’re dancing as the lead singer hits every note but it’s not enough... something’s missing. Then, it inevitably hits you — if only this were taking place in a bounce house. Well, finally, at Rock It Up at Pump It Up, you’ll get to slide down giant inflatable slides, jump in the bounce house, and run obstacle courses, all to live music. To boot, it’s two local bands who will usher in this new utopian age of live musicdom. Soar through the air with rising MTV stars New City Lions (myspace.com/newcitylions) and bounce to the beats of local indie band Robots & Butterflies (myspace.com/robotsandbutterflies). Finally, those dark days of listening to music on terra firma are over. This all-ages show starts at 8 p.m. Saturday at Pump It Up (6555 Nova Drive, Ste. 308, Davie). Tickets are $10 in advance on rockitup.eventbrite.com or $12 at the door. Visit pumpitupparty.com, or call 954-915-8484.
Sat., May 29, 8 p.m., 2010
