Serving up a smorgasbord for your viewing pleasure, The Boca Raton Museum of Art premieres two spring exhibitions Friday: “American Impressionism: Works from the Bank of America Collection” and “In The Eye of The Beholder: Selections From The Art Galleries at Gallery Center.” The former comprises over 60 landscape paintings — yep, that’s a heck of a lot of trees and dots — from 30 artists. The latter is a little more schizophrenic, featuring myriad historical, modern, and contemporary works from six local art galleries. Will the spinning glass orbs, colorful splatters, or misshapen pottery inspire you most? Get an eyeful at The Boca Raton Museum of Art (501 Plaza Real, Boca Raton), open Tuesdays though Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets cost $4 to $8. Call 561-392-2500 for more information, or visit www.bocamuseum.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: May 9. Continues through July 31, 2008
